Loretta Linza

Gango Editions, Inc. Artist

Loretta has been illustrating nature and architecture since she was nine years old. She is constantly inspired by both the outer world and the materials she uses to recreate it. Sometimes this manifests itself as abstract simplicity and sometimes as painterly realism.

She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and running near her desert home, as well as being a self-described "plant nerd." "I like to interpret the more unexpected plant species as opposed to the `garden variety. People describe me as passionate, opinionated and focused on almost every detail of the world."

Loretta Linza is originally from Niagara Falls, New York but has lived in Arizona for 26 years. She has associate degrees in fine art painting and commercial design. She considers her artistic influences to be Rene Magritte, Wayne Thibault, Paul Cezanne, Bougereau and Alma-Tadema.
